Cleansing Your Aura

by: Lauren Hennis

In parapsychology and many forms of spiritual practice, an aura is a field of subtle, luminous radiation surrounding a person.  Some believe that an aura can connote a persons well being and how they interact with the rest of the universe.

It is told that an aura is like a magnet.  Picking up vibrational energy that floats around everywhere.  So it is truly believed that having a clean aura can help fight and keep away negative energy.

The rest of this writing will direct one in the ability to “cleanse” ones aura and help to keep a more positive and balanced cycle.  The instructions ar easy to follow and should only take about 15 minutes to accomplish.

EASIEST WAY

You will want to choose a proper space that is clean of any negative energy. You may have a special room or area in which you are free from all the world stresses. If you don’t have one, the next best place is in your bedroom. Since this is where you sleep, it should be the best option for what we are accomplishing here.

Start with raising your arms and using your fingers like a comb.  Start moving them through the space surrounding your body.  You will want to start with the space surrounding your head and then move towards your feet.

Using the same idea as above, take a feather and begin to make a sweeping motion through the space surrounding your body.

While doing either of these, focus on sweeping the negative energies away and allowing only positive energy to flow from you.

USING WATER

Standing under shower or walking in the rain.  When the water droplets breaks (i.e. hits the body or other physical surface) it actually releases energies that help to body become invigorated.  This can happen as well when standing next to a water fall and breathing deeply into the mist.  You will start to feel more energized and refreshed.

This can also happen right after a good rainfall.  Do you notice how the air smells cleaner, fresher.  It is natures way of cleansing the earth.

Run free and playfully in the wind.  Doing this will help alleviate any stresses that one has.  By doing this, it not only allows the body to produce endorphins into the system.  This in return will help you to feel more energized and get cleanse your aura.

You can also take an old approach and soak in an Epsom Salt filled bath.  While laying, you can play some meditation like music or just lay in silence.  Try to focus on things that please you (trees blowing in the wind, sounds of the waves hitting a beach, ect.)

SMUDGING

A smudge stick is a bundle of dried herbs.  Herbs or plants are bound with a string.  It works in the concept like an incense stick but usually much stronger.  Some of the most popular are sage and lavender.

Get a smudge stick and light it.  While it is burning, you can start “smudging” the area surrounding your your body.  After, you can use it around other parts of your house to cleanse the energy.

While doing any of these, it is good to do some deep breathing exercises.  It aids in flushing the inner body and also when one concentrates on their breathing, they start to stop thinking about stressful things.  This in return helps them to get into a more enlightened state.

Do you think that cleansing the aura has helped you?  What benefits have you had from doing any of these ways or do you have have a different technique that you use?
